Description
The City is soliciting construction bids for repair and reinforcement of a damaged steel girder at its compost facility, along with cleaning and painting and removal of the temporary shoring currently in place. The bid schedule includes structural steel repair, cleaning and painting, shoring removal, and mobilization. Work must comply with the project plans and specifications, including applicable SUDAS and City supplemental specifications. Bidders must submit pricing for every line item. For bids over $100,000, a 5% bid bond is required with the bid; the successful bidder on a bid over $100,000 must provide 100% performance and payment bonds and a four-year maintenance bond. A current certificate of insurance and completed bidder status form are required with the bid. For construction bids of $25,000 or more, the DBE contact forms and supporting documentation of good-faith outreach are required; bidders not subcontracting must complete the form and explain why subcontracting is unnecessary.
