Description
The Town of Wilkesboro is seeking a qualified contractor for Phase III restoration of approximately 3,840 linear feet of Cub Creek to its confluence with the Yadkin River. The work includes construction surveying and as-built surveying; mobilization; clearing, grubbing, grading, and stream excavation; pipe removal and replacement; disposal and hauling; in-stream structures such as boulder J-hook structures, riffle grade controls, channel blocks, step pools, stone toe stabilization, and ditch plugs; temporary channel diversions and bridge mats; erosion and sediment controls; coir matting; temporary and permanent seeding; and riparian planting with live stakes, plugs, potted plants, and bare-root vegetation. A 10-foot greenway trail and related maintenance-road work are also shown in the project documents. The project is federally funded through the American Rescue Plan Act and State and Local Fiscal Recovery Funds. The contract duration is 180 calendar days, with work hours generally limited to 7:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m., Monday through Saturday, subject to the special conditions. Bidders must submit pricing and offer certification plus the required federal certifications, conflict-of-interest disclosure, E-Verify affidavit, debarment certification, references for at least three similar projects, and other required bid attachments. The apparent low bidder must provide performance and payment bonds, each in the full contract amount, after award.
