Description
The New York City Department of Health and Mental Hygiene intends to negotiate a six-year sole-source agreement with Roche Diagnostic Corporation for assays, reagents, and consumables used with the cobas 5800, 6800v2, and 8800v2, MagNA Pure 96, and LightCycler systems. The products support automated PCR testing and nucleic acid extraction, including testing for HIV, sexually transmitted infections, hepatitis and other bloodborne pathogens, respiratory viruses, and additional targets, as well as laboratory-developed testing. The agency states that Roche is the sole manufacturer and distributor of compatible assays, reagents, and consumables, and that only Roche-certified service engineers can service the systems. Firms that believe they can legally provide the requested goods and services may submit an expression of interest through PASSPort. This is an RFI/sole-source notice, not a conventional competitive solicitation.
