Description
The Kansas Department of Administration is seeking competitive bids from qualified insurance providers for statewide insurance covering boilers owned by various Kansas state agencies. The requested limited coverage has a $100,000 per-accident limit and a $2,500 per-object deductible, with an alternate option for a $50,000 limit and $1,000 deductible. Coverage is to include equipment breakdown and specified additional coverages under ISO forms EB 00-20-09-07 and EB 01-05-09-07. The State may award coverage in whole or in part, and bidders may submit alternate coverage proposals meeting the stated requirements. The successful insurer must provide boiler inspections for each covered object, additional inspections upon request, written maintenance, repair, and safety recommendations, annual revised inventory sheets, and annual loss figures. The contract is for three years, from January 1, 2027, through December 31, 2029. Bidders must submit policy and premium information, a sample or specimen policy, inspector information, and the required bid forms and certifications.
