Description
The City of Arlington is soliciting proposals for an annual requirements contract to support its integrated mosquito and vector management program. The scope includes larval surveillance and treatment of up to 11,706 curb inlets and street catch basins, inspection and treatment of stagnant-water habitats, deployment of four BG Sentinel traps and fifteen gravid traps weekly, specimen delivery for analysis, and adult mosquito control through targeted ground spraying and special-request spraying. The contractor must provide certified pesticide applicators, personnel, equipment, fuel, chemicals, GPS and mapping capabilities, resistance-testing and RAMP West Nile Virus testing capabilities, and a qualified supervisor during work shifts. Services include truck-mounted or ATV ultra-low-volume spraying and backpack barrier applications, weekly activity reports, trap and disease-testing records, application records, GPS data, and other documentation. The contractor must comply with applicable AMCA, CDC, EPA, Texas Department of Agriculture, Texas Department of State Health Services, TCEQ, and NPDES requirements, serve as the primary NPDES permit holder, and perform the work with its own personnel unless subcontracting is approved in writing.
