Description
Middle Smithfield Township is soliciting bids for the Gravel Ridge Road Sewer Extension Project, involving approximately 960 linear feet of 2-inch DR-11 HDPE low-pressure force main. The work includes approximately 893 linear feet installed by horizontal directional drilling and 70 linear feet installed by open trench, along with a curb stop and box, inline cleanouts, an air-release manhole, connection to an existing pump-station manhole, signage, and associated valves and fittings. The contractor must also perform mobilization, traffic and erosion control, excavation, backfilling and compaction, pressure testing, temporary and permanent pavement restoration, seeding and revegetation, and project closeout. The solicitation requires online submission through PennBid, a bid security equal to 10% of the maximum bid, and compliance with Pennsylvania prevailing-wage, public-works employment-verification, nondiscrimination, bonding, insurance, and grant requirements.
