Description
The Village of Waverly is soliciting qualifications from experienced New York State licensed professional architecture and engineering (A/E) firms, watershed management, public outreach, or training firms to conduct a watershed assessment of the Dry Brook Creek. This project, funded by the NYS DEC Water Quality Improvement Program, aims to build community resilience by understanding flooding issues, erosion, and damages to public and private infrastructure within the Dry Brook Creek corridor. The selected firm will utilize GIS software and spatial layers to assess watershed challenges related to flooding, water quality, and climate change. The scope of work includes project coordination, data collection through field investigations and review of existing resources, and the preparation of a final report. The report will detail findings, prioritize potential projects for flood mitigation and streambank stabilization, and include preliminary cost estimates. The project aims to create a framework for a watershed management plan to enhance community resilience and stream health.
