Description

The City of Rancho Cordova is soliciting bids for preventive maintenance repairs to the Horn Road Bridge over the Boyd Station Drainage Channel. The work includes removing the existing asphalt-concrete deck overlay, preparing the bridge deck, placing a polyester-concrete overlay, conforming the bridge approaches, adjusting utilities, removing and installing traffic striping and pavement markers, repairing unsound concrete as directed, and providing traffic and water-pollution control. The estimated construction cost is $113,500, and the work must be completed within 35 working days after issuance of the Notice to Proceed. A valid California General Engineering Contractor Class A or C-8 Concrete Contractor license is required. The project is subject to federal and California prevailing-wage requirements, Build America, Buy America requirements, and applicable public-works labor and nondiscrimination provisions. The solicitation is not subject to DBE requirements. Bidders must submit a bid bond or other permitted bid security of at least 10% of the bid amount; the successful bidder must provide 100% payment and performance bonds. Bids and required portal responses are submitted online, including the bid forms, contractor license and DIR registration information, experience and completed-contract information, equipment list, subcontractor information, non-collusion and other required certifications, and applicable supporting documents.
