Description
The Department of Veterans Affairs is soliciting a firm-fixed-price requirements contract for specialty bedframes, specialized mattresses, bariatric shuttle chairs, bariatric bedside commodes, trapeze bars, advanced patient-care products, and related accessories. The contractor must provide equipment on an as-needed basis, including delivery and pickup within 12 hours of each request. Delivered items must be clean, sanitized, ready for immediate patient use, and maintained in accordance with manufacturer specifications and applicable infection-control and quality-control standards. The scope also includes cleaning and quality control for VA-owned mattress and pump systems, storage of approximately 150 square feet of equipment, delivery of VA-owned equipment, equipment setup and clinical-staff training, and removal of rented items. The base period is one year with four one-year option periods. The solicitation evaluates technical capability, past performance, and price; the technical quote may not exceed 20 pages and must not include pricing information.
