UNIFORM BID SPECIFICATIONS SOLID WASTE, VEGETATIVE AND RECYCLABLE MATERIALS COLLECTION SERVICE AND DISPOSAL LEGAL NOTICE ADVERTISEMENT FOR BIDS BOROUGH OF HARRINGTON PARK BERGEN COUNTY. NEW JERSEY NOTICE TO BIDDERS BOROUGH OF HARRINGTON PARK COUNTY OF BERGEN STATE OF NEW JERSEY TAKE NOTICE, that sealed bids for the FURNISHING OF SOLID WASTE CURBSIDE COLLECTION /DISPOSAL SERVICE, RECYCLING CURBSIDE COLLECTION/DISPOSAL SERVICE, AND CURBSIDE COLLECTION/DISPOSAL OF YARD TRIMMINGS SHALL be received by the BOROUGH OF HARRINGTON PARK at Borough Hall, 85 Harriot Ave., Harrington Park, New Jersey on or before Thursday, October 01, 2026, at 11:00 a.m., prevailing time. Bids will be opened and read aloud for the consideration of the Borough Council. The work to be done under this contract includes the furnishing of solid waste curbside collection and transportation service recycling collection and transportation service vegetative waste collection and transportation service and disposal of all collected solid waste, recycling, and vegetative waste from the BOROUGH OF HARRINGTON PARK for up to three (3) years with the option on the part of the Borough to renew for an additional two (2) one (1) year periods and the commencement date for such service is December 31, 2026. Copies of contract documents and specifications may be examined at the office of the Borough Clerk, 85 Harriot Avenue, Harrington Park, New Jersey, between the hours of 9:00 a.m. and 4:00 p.m., Monday through Thursday commencing on October 01, 2026. The contract documents and specifications may be obtained on or after August 3, 2026, at the office of the Borough Clerk, Borough Hall, 85 Harriot Ave., Harrington Park, New Jersey for a payment of $25.00 for each set of paper copies. Each bid shall be: (I) Made upon the blank bid form furnished with the contract documents and specifications; (2) Accompanied by the fully completed Questionnaire Concerning Experience of the Bidder; (3) Accompanied by an unconditioned and irrevocable Consent of Surety from an approved surety company, licensed to conduct business in the State of New Jersey, agreeing to furnish the required unconditioned Performance Bond upon the award of the contract; and (4) Accompanied by a certified check, cashier's check or unconditioned Bid Bond made payable to the BOROUGH OF HARRINGTON PARK in the amount of 10% of the bid, but not in excess of $20,000. Such check or unconditioned Bid Bond shall be made payable or in favor of the BOROUGH OF HARRINGTON PARK, and shall be held as a guarantee that, in the event the bid is accepted and a contract awarded to the bidder, the agreement will be duly executed. Its performance properly secured and in default thereof, said check or unconditioned Bid Bond in the full amount represented thereby will be forfeited to the BOROUGH OF HARRINGTON PARK as liquidated damages. The bidder to whom a contract is awarded will be required to furnish an unconditioned Performance Bond in the amount of 100% of the agreement for a one-year period to be renewed yearly from an approved surety company or trust company licensed in the State of New Jersey conditioned upon the faithful performance of the work in accordance with the contract documents and specifications. The Borough in its sole and absolute discretion may waive any minor discrepancies or irregularities and may reject all bids for any reason in the best interest of the Borough including cost.
