Description
The Albany Port District Commission seeks a qualified contractor to construct a 500-foot, ultra-heavy-capacity multipurpose wharf for heavy cargo transfer and vessel service operations. The work includes dredging and disposal of approximately 70,000 cubic yards of material; drilled-shaft and driven-pile foundations; retaining walls; concrete framing and deck systems; fendering, mooring hardware, and vessel-interface systems; upland terminal connections; and high-mast lighting. Four additive bid options cover dolphins, rock probes, additional pile testing, and technique shafts. The selected contractor must submit a lump-sum bid with pricing for the base scope and additive items, a progress schedule, qualifications and capabilities, similar-project experience, and at least three references. A 5% bid bond is required. The project has New York State MWBE and SDVOB participation goals, and the contract is subject to prevailing-wage requirements. A mandatory pre-bid meeting and site walk-through is required; bids from firms that do not attend will not be accepted.
