Description
The City of Ocala is soliciting lump-sum bids from Florida-licensed general, building, or residential contractors for the complete construction of a single-family home at 110 W Silver Springs Place, Ocala, Florida. The contractor must provide all labor, materials, equipment, subcontracting, engineering, permitting, inspections, and related costs, and perform the work in accordance with the Florida Building Code, the project scope, work write-up, and building plans. The scope includes structural construction, roofing, windows and doors, insulation, electrical and lighting systems, plumbing and water/sewer connections, HVAC, cabinets, appliances, flooring, painting, driveway and sidewalk/ADA ramp construction, landscaping, grading, mailbox and house numbers, cleanup, and closeout documentation. The contractor must begin within 10 calendar days after the Notice to Proceed and complete the work within 120 days according to the work write-up, while Exhibit A states 140 days. Bidders must have at least three years of residential rehabilitation experience, maintain the specified insurance, perform at least 30% of the work with their own forces, and provide a 12-month material and labor warranty.
