Description
The New York State Office of Children and Family Services is soliciting one qualified and dedicated Special Education Teacher for its MacCormick Secure Center. The selected contractor must provide comprehensive special education services for students in grades 7–12, including instruction, classroom support, IEP and 504 plan development, evaluations, referrals, records maintenance, participation in Committee on Special Education meetings, parent communication, and supervision of teacher aides. The proposed teacher must have a bachelor's degree or higher in Special Education, valid New York State special education certification covering grades 7–12, legal authorization to work in the United States, and required background clearances. Services must be provided on-site and in person for 37.5 hours per week, Monday through Friday, including 184 regular school days and an option for up to 35 summer days. Subcontracting is prohibited. Bids must include the specified forms, references, resume, certification and degree proof, and other required New York State certifications and vendor-responsibility documentation.
