This opportunity is for the extension of Personal Emergency Response System (P.E.R.S.) equipment and services for the County of Erie. The P.E.R.S. consists of an electronic call device installed in a client's residence, linked via the client's telephone line to a central emergency response center. This system allows clients to immediately notify the center in case of illness, accident, or other emergencies to secure assistance. The contract extension is through January 31, 2027, under the same prices, terms, and conditions as the original agreement. The vendor, Connect America.com, LLC, will continue to supply, install, and maintain the P.E.R.S. equipment. The specifications detail various types of units including standard in-home units (landline and mobile), and mobile GPS units, along with installation charges and monthly service fees. The County of Erie will be responsible for client referrals, eligibility determination, case management, and monitoring provider performance. The provider is responsible for installation, maintenance, 24-hour monitoring, data management, and prompt response to all signals.
