Description
The City of Surrey is soliciting proposals from qualified design consultants to lead the design, consultation, construction administration, and close-out services for a new Indigenous Cultural Venue located in Royal Kwantlen Park. The venue's primary objective is to offer dedicated cultural space and resources to support Indigenous programming and practices. Key building considerations include multipurpose studio space, classroom/community space, a small kitchen, lobby, office, storage, washrooms, mechanical/electrical rooms, and an entrance plaza with outdoor gathering space. The scope of work encompasses schematic design, development permit application, design development, building permit application, construction document development, construction and contract administration, handover, post-construction close-out services, and a one-year warranty review. Consultants will collaborate with the City, Kwantlen First Nation, Katzie First Nation, Semiahmoo First Nation, and Urban Indigenous residents throughout the design process.
