Description
The City of High Point is soliciting bids for the rehabilitation and recoating of approximately 6,210 square feet of decorative stamped-asphalt crosswalk surfaces at eight locations. Work includes pressure washing and surface preparation, removal of deteriorated material, restoration of the stamped pattern at the Woodbury Street crosswalk, application of two coats of StreetBond-150 Surfacing System or an approved equivalent, and additional coating where needed for uniform coverage. The contractor must also remove and replace approximately 1,220 linear feet of 8-inch white, 90-mil thermoplastic border markings; furnish all labor, materials, equipment, supervision, and incidental work; provide traffic control devices and measures; and prepare a Traffic Control Plan for approval. The work must be substantially completed within 30 consecutive calendar days after the Notice to Proceed, subject to approved weather delays. The solicitation requires prior experience with pavement coatings and markings, specified insurance coverage, and submission of manufacturer product data for proposed coating and thermoplastic materials.
