Cottonwood Heights Parks and Recreation Service Area is seeking a qualified food service proprietor to operate the snack bar concessions at the Cottonwood Heights Recreation Center. The concessionaire must provide all labor, staff, management, equipment, supplies, and materials necessary for operations, except that CHPRSA will provide and maintain the ice maker and bin, commercial freezer, and commercial refrigerator, and will pay concession-area utilities. The concession must operate at least seven days per week during the summer season, from as early as 10 days before Memorial Day through Labor Day, during public swimming hours. With approval, the concessionaire may also operate during special events throughout the year. Offerings must include light foods, snacks, treats, frozen items, and drinks; healthy alternatives are encouraged, alcohol is prohibited, and soft drinks must come from a company designated by CHPRSA. The proposer must submit responsible personnel, a sample menu and prices, relevant concession experience with two references, the proposed commission from gross receipts, and a customer-service business plan. The proposal is limited to 10 pages, excluding dividers and covers, and must be clearly marked as specified in the RFP.
