Description
Salt Lake County, on behalf of Solid Waste Management, is soliciting a contractor to haul municipal solid waste from a transfer station to a landfill. Service is required Monday through Friday, with occasional Saturday and snow-day hauling, and must accommodate changing waste volumes while ensuring the transfer station floor is cleared each day. The contractor must provide walking floor trailers and truck-trailer combinations equipped with maintained onboard scales that fit the transfer station tunnel and loading area. Loading begins at 7:00 a.m., and final delivery to the landfill must occur by 6:00 p.m.; Saturday operations generally run from 7:00 a.m. through early afternoon. The bid requires a complete response to the pricing schedule and specified acknowledgments, including applicable fuel-surcharge information.
