Description
Atlantic County is soliciting proposals from qualified individuals or companies to operate independently managed coffee shop and cafe spaces at the Atlantic County Criminal Court Complex in Mays Landing and the Atlantic County Civil Courthouse in Atlantic City. The operator must provide coffee and other hot and cold beverages and may offer limited food items such as snacks, baked goods, sandwiches, salads, and soups. Food prepared for sale must be prepared offsite because a full kitchen will not be available. The operator is responsible for equipment, inventory, staffing, cleaning, signage, fixtures, licenses, permits, and compliance with food-service regulations; the County will provide utilities, garbage removal, HVAC maintenance, data connections, water service, and dry storage. The proposal must address operating hours, staffing, management qualifications, equipment and supplies, menus and pricing, proposed monthly base rent for each location, financial capability, relevant experience, references, insurance capability, and technical approach. The solicitation requires a five-year initial license term, with services anticipated to commence in 2026, and permits the County to terminate for convenience on 90 days' written notice. Responses must include the specified certifications, affidavits, addenda acknowledgment, insurance documentation, and other proposal materials identified in the solicitation.
