Description
The City of Lincoln is seeking bids for one new 9-foot steel platform body up-fit for a 2026 Ford F-450 4WD cab and chassis. The scope includes fabrication and installation of the platform body, bulkhead, stake pockets, rub rails, fenders, mud flaps, hitch system, tow hooks, toolboxes, ladder, grab-handle pedestal, LED lighting, warning lights, traffic advisor, wiring, trailer receptacles, painting, undercoating, and related mounting work. The contractor must also install a City-provided valve turner, hydraulic reservoir/cooler, protective cage, and front bumper/escutcheon, and provide the new PTO, pump, hydraulic hoses, fittings, switch, wiring, and mounting kit. The bid must include pickup of the chassis from Fleet Services, transportation to the bidder's facility, installation, delivery back to Fleet Services, warranty support, manuals, installation and warranty documents, and a completed vehicle sticker. The equipment must be new and current-production, and the bidder must state the proposed platform-body manufacturer and model, installation location, delivery time after receipt of order, and warranty terms. Addendum 1 provides reference pictures of the rear body apron and valve-turner assembly and clarifies that specification items referring to a hoist or dump body should be disregarded because no hoist is required. Responses must be submitted through the electronic bidding system by the stated deadline, with the Foreign Adversary Contracting Prohibition Act certification and warranty statement uploaded with the bid. Insurance documentation is required at contract execution rather than with the bid.
