Description
The City of Riverside Public Works Department is soliciting a lump-sum construction contractor for improvements along the south side of Stover Avenue between Fury Drive and Eagle Rock Drive. The work includes excavation and roadway widening; asphalt pavement; concrete sidewalks, driveways, curb, gutter, and ADA pedestrian ramps; traffic signs, striping, and pavement markings; utility adjustments and water-service reconnections; removal and reconstruction of fences, walls, mailboxes, trees, and related improvements; and underground street-lighting facilities, including conduit, pull boxes, wiring, and streetlight standards. The estimated bid value is $1,341,397.34. Bidders must hold a valid California Class A General Engineering or Class C-8 Concrete contractor's license. The project requires a 10% bid bond or cashier's/certified check, 100% performance and payment bonds, and specified commercial general liability, automobile, workers' compensation/employer's liability, and installation floater insurance. The contractor must perform at least 50% of the contract work with its own organization, excluding designated specialty items, and complete the work within 75 working days after the Notice to Proceed.
