Description
The Port of Bellingham is soliciting a contractor to remove eight failing ACZA-treated timber guide piles and replace them with galvanized steel pipe piles at the Seaview North Travel Lift Float. The work includes furnishing all labor, materials, equipment, demolition and disposal, environmental protection, containment of debris and contaminants, pile extraction, vibratory installation, pile caps, coordination with marina operations, and required permits and environmental controls. The base bid covers eight piles, with seven additional pile replacements available as additive bid items. Bidders must complete the provided Proposal Form and submit a five-percent bid guarantee as either an original signed and stamped surety bid bond or a certified/cashier's check. The selected contractor must provide payment and performance bonding at 100 percent of the bid amount, insurance, prevailing-wage compliance, construction and pile-driving plans, material certifications, and other post-award submittals. The engineer's estimate is $300,000 to $400,000. Work must be substantially complete within 120 days of the Notice to Proceed, with in-water work completed by February 15, 2027, followed by physical completion within 30 calendar days after substantial completion.
