Description
The Florida Department of Health is soliciting a single contractor to provide all engineering, permitting, labor, materials, equipment, supervision, delivery coordination, and installation services for an awning at the West Flagler Miami-Dade County Health Department facility and a courtyard sunshade at the West Perrine facility. The awning will cover approximately 130 linear feet and extend 4 feet 6 inches from the building; the sunshade will cover a 45-by-45-foot courtyard using six triangular shade sails. The work must comply with the Florida Building Code, including High-Velocity Hurricane Zone requirements, specified wind-load criteria, and NFPA 701 flame-resistance requirements. A Florida-licensed structural engineer must design or verify structural connections, framing, foundations, and loading, and the contractor must obtain all required permits. Respondents must demonstrate at least five years of experience installing commercial sunshades and exterior awnings and submit three similar-project references. The solicitation requires mandatory site visits and a sealed bid package containing the specified title, pricing, experience, certification, non-collusion, subcontractor, and related forms and documentation.
