Description
The City of Dallas is soliciting bids for erosion-control construction at five locations. Work includes gabion walls and gabion mattresses, rock riprap, soil nails and tiebacks, concrete structures, drainage improvements, and related excavation, backfill, paving restoration, vegetation restoration, traffic control, and stormwater pollution-prevention measures. The bid schedules include multiple site-specific quantities and construction items. Bidders must submit a bid proposal form and spreadsheet in both PDF and Excel formats, a bid bond equal to at least 5% of the total bid, and the required affidavits and DRIVE/SBE forms. The specifications require relevant construction experience, including at least two completed projects of similar nature and magnitude within the past five years. The contractor must perform at least 25% of the work with its own organization. The stated completion requirements are a start within 60 calendar days after City Council award and completion within 360 consecutive working days from the Notice to Proceed.
