Description
The City of Detroit Elections Department intends to enter into a sole-source contract for two Sentinel Outdoor Secure Smart Drop Boxes. The units must provide secure ballot drop-off and include a reinforced exterior, full battery power, scanner functionality, ADA compliance, front-facing camera capabilities for capturing voter, barcode, and envelope-receipt images, fire suppression, a Sentinel Console, and an Administrator Dashboard. The purchase includes the drop boxes, software, accessories, annual software support, and warranty. The notice identifies Runbeck Election Services as the intended source and states that Runbeck holds the exclusive intellectual property and manufacturing rights for the Sentinel units. Interested parties may submit clear and convincing evidence of their capability, although the notice is not a request for competitive proposals.
