Description
The Texas General Land Office is seeking comprehensive statements of interest and capability, along with optional project proposals, from parties interested in developing advanced nuclear energy projects on eligible onshore Permanent School Fund lands across Texas. Respondents may propose any combination of available tracts and must identify the specific lands, legal descriptions, siting characteristics, reactor technology and scale, intended end use, approximate capacity, and number of units. Responses must address the anticipated site-characterization and development schedule, federal and state licensing pathways, interconnection or behind-the-meter plans, commercial-operation timeline, nuclear development experience, financial capability, project partners, requested agency support, and proposed annual per-acre rental rates for site evaluation and option periods. Responses are submitted through the Efficient Markets platform; project proposals that result in a lease may incur a buyer's premium equal to 1.5% of the cash consideration or $5,000, whichever is greater. The RFI does not commit the General Land Office to lease any tract or advance any proposal to negotiations.
