Description
The State of Michigan is soliciting a design-build contractor to restore and repair the existing metal cold-storage building at Crowner Drive Garage. The work includes replacing the perimeter pressure-treated wood sill plate, metal siding, translucent window panels, wood blocking, steel wall girts, hollow metal doors and frames, steel box gutters, and downspouts; field painting the replacement doors and frames; and providing construction-document drawings and specifications through 50% and 90% review stages and final documents. The contractor must obtain required construction permits, provide design and construction management, conduct design and progress meetings, submit daily progress reports, and furnish a full-time on-site superintendent. Bidders must submit a bid summary and schedule, bid security, required certifications and attestations, state project registration documentation, and—because the project is over $250,000—business/team information, at least three similar completed projects with references, a scope understanding and proposed solution, work plan and schedule, key-personnel resumes, and an hourly billing-rate schedule.
