Description
Berkshire Community Action Council (BCAC) is soliciting proposals for its Weatherization Assistance Program. This program serves income-eligible single-family residences (1-4 units) in Berkshire County, Massachusetts. Services required include asbestos abatement, mold abatement, electrical services, and comprehensive weatherization measures. Weatherization activities encompass insulating attics and walls with blown-in cellulose, installing fiberglass batts in basement and crawl space ceilings, ensuring proper attic ventilation, weather-stripping exterior doors, and other related energy efficiency improvements. The program utilizes funding from the Department of Energy, the Infrastructure Investment and Jobs Act, and Low-Income Energy Efficiency utility programs.
