Description
The City of Redding is seeking a contractor to provide preventive maintenance and as-needed repair services for overhead doors at the Corporation Yard, fire stations, transfer station, landfill, wastewater treatment plants, water treatment plant, and other City locations. Preventive maintenance includes scheduled inspections, adjustments, lubrication, safety checks, defective-part recommendations, written repair estimates, and replacement of damaged parts when authorized. Repair services may be requested during normal working hours or on an overtime/emergency basis. The contractor must independently manage the service schedule, provide 24-hour, seven-day emergency availability, respond to repair calls within two hours, maintain a business location within 20 miles of Redding City Hall, and hold the required California contractor license and Department of Industrial Relations registration. The contract is for one year from award through November 30, 2027, with two possible one-year renewals through November 30, 2029. Prevailing wages, insurance, references, certified payroll reporting, a 10% bid bond when the total quote exceeds $25,000, and 100% payment and performance bonds are required under the stated conditions.
