Description
The US Coast Guard is seeking a contractor to replace the existing front gate at Sector Humboldt Bay, located at 1001 Lycoming Ave, McKinleyville, CA 95519. The new gate should accommodate a larger opening and meet all associated mechanical systems requirements. This is a firm-fixed-price contract with an estimated magnitude between $25,000 and $100,000. The performance period is 60 days after contract award, with work to commence within 10 days of the Notice to Proceed. All materials must adhere to applicable ASTM standards and specifications for gate systems, structural steel, and construction components, and final installation must ensure seamless operation, secure latch mechanisms, smooth motor operation, and operational safety components meeting UL and OSHA standards. The contractor will be responsible for decommissioning and removing the old gate, modifying the gate opening, installing a new longer gate and operator system, safety devices, and access control systems. The work must be performed Monday through Friday between 8:00 AM and 4:00 PM, excluding federal holidays or base closures. The contractor must provide a contract manager and employees with proper identification. This requirement is a total small business set-aside.
