Description
This project involves the construction of a new 138kV Holleman Substation to connect to the existing South Switch to Dowling Road 138kV transmission line. Roadway improvements along Old Wellborn Road are also included to expand site access. The Holleman Substation will feature a 138kV ring bus, with two line terminals, two power transformer terminals, and two distribution bays, along with terminals for three capacitor banks. The contract includes the installation of all this equipment, with the power transformers and capacitor banks being owner-provided but requiring relocation by the contractor. Additionally, the project encompasses relay panel replacements at two remote locations (South Switch Switchyard and Dowling Road Substation), as well as relocation and replacement of yard equipment at the Dowling Road Substation. Testing and commissioning of all equipment, including transformers and capacitor banks, will be performed by the contractor or a subcontracted testing company.
