Description
The U.S. Army Contracting Command - Redstone Arsenal, on behalf of the U.S. Army Aviation and Missile Command (AMCOM), is seeking solutions for an industrial 3D X-ray and Computed Tomography (CT) capability to support aviation maintenance operations at Corpus Christi Army Depot (CCAD). This technology is needed to modernize the acquisition of obsolete and low-demand repair parts, streamline maintenance workflows, and improve overall depot-level support. The proposed solution must be a large-format, high-resolution system capable of conducting non-destructive testing (NDT) on large, high-density, and complex assemblies. Key requirements include a robust scanning envelope, a heavy-duty manipulator, a high-energy X-ray source (up to 450kV) with micro-focus and mini-focus configurations, a high-resolution digital detector array (DDA) or linear diode array (LDA), and advanced scanning modalities like helical scanning and multi-image stitching. The system must also include an integrated, DICONDE-compliant software suite for 3D reconstruction, dimensional metrology, and defect recognition. The proposed solutions shall be produced in the continental United States and must include ancillary equipment for a turnkey solution, facility transformers, an extended warranty and preventative maintenance for a total of three years, and site acceptance testing. The selected source will provide a point of contact for coordination and oversight, and conduct on-site training for up to four personnel aligned with ASNT standards.
