Description
The University of Iowa is seeking proposals for a brand-new, all-in-one fluorescence microscope. The proposed microscope should be suitable for advanced imaging of C. elegans, teeth, live cells, and tissues, and include capabilities for brightfield, phase contrast, and fluorescence imaging. Key features desired include mechanisms to minimize environmental vibrations, electronic controls for operation, and the ability to capture and analyze videos at high frame rates (95fps or higher). The system should support multi-fluorescence imaging with electronic selection of at least seven fluorescent filters, automated imagetiling, and quantification of regions of interest. It must be compatible with a Windows 11 computer and include features for sample navigation and batch processing. The research team also prefers the microscope to have unlimited image analyzer software downloads, support OME-TIFF/TIF image formats, and be expandable for future research needs. The supplier must provide the equipment, software, and support from a single designated source, including on-site training and preventative maintenance. A minimum two-year warranty on all parts and labor is desired, with the warranty period commencing after installation and successful demonstration of compliance with bid specifications.
