Description
The City of Cambridge is seeking a contractor for spring startup, fall shutdown, and on-call maintenance and repair services for irrigation systems, water features, and water fountains at Danehy Park and Fresh Pond Golf Course. Startup and shutdown services include testing irrigation heads, checking for leaks and faulty equipment, performing compressed-air blowouts, and documenting completed work. Fresh Pond Golf Course is included for on-call repairs only; seasonal startup and shutdown there are excluded. The contractor must supply repair materials, use compliant PVC and NSF-rated polyethylene components, provide weekly work and repair reports, and perform work during authorized hours. The contract prohibits subcontracting. The contract is for one year with two one-year renewal options, and the estimated project value including the renewal years is $129,000. A bid deposit of at least 5% is required; the successful bidder must provide 100% performance and payment bonds and required insurance.
