Description
The Michigan Department of Health and Human Services (MDHHS) is issuing a Request for Proposal for Family Preservation - Family Assistance Program Services in Alcona and Iosco Counties. The contractor will provide two primary services: Direct Family Assistance, which includes in-home instruction and modeling in child nurturing, home management, nutrition, transportation, and support accessing community resources; and Parenting Time Support, which involves supervised visitation and transportation to promote healthy parent-child relationships. Services are targeted at families at risk of child removal due to abuse or neglect, or those needing supervised visitation. The contract term is three years from October 1, 2026 to September 30, 2029, with annual awards of $50,000 per year. The contractor must have appropriately credentialed staff, including a high school diploma and two years of relevant experience, and must pass background checks. Services are provided in client homes or mutually agreed locations within the geographic area.
