Description
Yancey County is seeking proposals for services and support that fall within Option A of the national opioid settlement agreement. Eligible project areas include collaborative strategic planning, evidence-based addiction treatment, recovery support services, recovery housing support, employment-related services, early intervention, naloxone distribution, post-overdose response teams, syringe service programs, criminal justice diversion programs, addiction treatment for incarcerated persons, and reentry programs. Organizations must have 501(c)(3) status or be public schools. Startup non-profits and those without two years of existence may apply under an umbrella agency. Funded organizations will be required to submit narrative and financial progress reports, present a program overview at an annual meeting, and provide a final performance report. Awards are anticipated to be between $20,000 and $50,000 per applicant per fiscal year, with funding available through June 30, 2027. Annual applications are required for subsequent funding.
