Description
The Department of Veterans Affairs is seeking an architect-engineering firm to investigate existing flat roofs and prepare conditions reports, cost estimates, design documents, technical specifications, construction documents, and construction-period services for roof replacement at multiple buildings and connecting tunnels at the Canandaigua VA Medical Center. The scope includes evaluation of roofing systems, drainage, masonry, parapets, fall protection, HVAC and other equipment, hazardous materials, insulation, structural integrity, portico structures, and related interior drainage piping. Potential design work includes roof replacement or roof-type changes, structural and drainage repairs, parapet restoration, MEP modifications, phasing, temporary systems, infection-control measures, and historic-preservation considerations. Required services include site surveys, schematic and design-development submissions, construction documents, cost estimates, bidding assistance, shop-drawing and submittal reviews, site visits, construction inspection and other construction-period services, record drawings, and as-built documentation. The firm must provide a completed SF 330 with qualifications, up to five relevant projects completed or substantially completed within the past five years, key-personnel resumes, past-performance information or questionnaires, survey-document examples, subcontractor information, and required business certifications. The response is limited to 50 pages and must be submitted electronically by email.
