Description
The Niagara Frontier Transportation Authority, through Niagara Frontier Transit Metro System, Inc., is soliciting batteries for maintenance and repair of its buses and paratransit fleet. The procurement covers BCI Group 8D lead-acid batteries, Group 31 AGM batteries, Group 65 lead-acid batteries, and Group 49 lead-acid batteries, with estimated quantities of 390, 220, 140, and 185 respectively. The authority may award the purchase as a whole or on an item-by-item basis, and purchase orders will be issued for specific requirements during the one-year agreement term. Batteries must meet the stated voltage, cold-cranking-amp, reserve-capacity, casing, terminal, fitment, and heavy-duty transit-bus requirements. Approved equal products may be proposed with manufacturer, part number, and supporting documentation. Bidders must submit technical information, product drawings, warranty information, lead time, safety data sheets, references, pricing, and required vendor forms through the procurement portal. Products are delivered FOB destination to locations designated on purchase orders, and the bid includes a minimum one-year warranty.
