Description
The Authority seeks a contractor to maintain its sanitary sewer system as directed, including clearing obstructions and blockages, quarterly cleaning of specified sewer sections, and emergency response within one hour of notification. Work may require high-velocity cleaning equipment, vacuum trucks, bucket machines, and labor, with service available on weekends and holidays. The contractor must continue blockage work until cleared and restore affected work areas and property to their original condition. The bid includes annual pricing for a one-year base period and four optional renewal years, as well as hourly unit prices for television inspection, chemical grouting, root treatment, and other extraordinary maintenance work. The contractor must submit an equipment list with its bid and provide material safety data sheets for applicable products. A bid security equal to 10% of the first-year base bid is required; the successful bidder must provide 100% performance and labor-and-materials payment bonds, or qualifying letters of credit or secured accounts, before contract execution.
