Description
The project involves constructing a new 200-gallon-per-minute well; two below-ground concrete detention tanks; a 36-by-56-foot pre-engineered building; four vertical pressure filters; two 200-gallon-per-minute high-service pumps; chemical feed equipment; finished-water main and site piping; electrical systems and controls; site and finished grading; and backwash lagoons. The work also includes demolishing the existing water treatment plant and associated structures. The procurement is subject to requirements associated with the Public Water Supply Loan Program, Davis-Bacon, Illinois public-works employment laws, Build America, Buy America, and the loan recipient's disadvantaged business enterprise policy. Bidders must undertake specified affirmative efforts at least 16 days before bid opening. Proposals must use the forms furnished by the Owner's Project Engineer and be signed by the bidder.
