Description
The Pennsylvania Department of Conservation and Natural Resources, Bureau of Forestry, is offering FSC- and SFI-certified sawtimber and pulpwood stumpage from approximately 213 acres in Moshannon State Forest. The sale includes 660.82 MBF of sawtimber, primarily red oak and white oak, and 300.28 HCF of pulpwood, primarily mixed oak and red maple. The timber is divided into seven cutting blocks with shelterwood and two-age treatments; volumes and quality are estimates and are not guaranteed. The buyer must conduct logging operations, comply with restrictions on felling, skidding, hauling, environmental protection, and seasonal operations, and complete specified haul-road improvements and seeding work. The contract expires June 30, 2028. Bids must be electronically signed and submitted through Bid Express by November 18, 2026, at 12:00 p.m. prevailing local time. A $10,000 certified, cashier's, treasurer's, or official check or money order must be uploaded with the bid as a bid deposit; a permanent bid bond on file is also acceptable. The successful bidder must provide a performance deposit and mail the bid deposit check within five business days of bid opening.
