Description
Fayette County Schools is soliciting sealed lump-sum bids from registered general contractors for renovations at Whitewater High School. The project includes architectural, structural, mechanical, HVAC, plumbing, electrical, kitchen, door hardware, furniture and equipment move-management, and related renovation work. Addendum No. 3 adds or revises requirements involving skylight repairs, furniture relocation and storage, door hardware, HVAC controls coordination, mechanical-room equipment replacement, cooling-tower and hydronic-system work, kitchen modifications, and other drawings and specifications. Bidders must be registered with PBK Architects Georgia, P.C. and must have obtained the plans and specifications from the architect. Electronic bidding documents require registration and a non-refundable $250 deposit. The contract will be awarded on a lump-sum basis. Bids must include a bid bond of at least 5% of the base bid; the successful contractor must provide performance and payment bonds equal to 100% of the contract price. The Bid Form must acknowledge Addendum No. 3, and the contractor must coordinate with the owner's Siemens controls company before bidding and include the required controls-coordination documentation in equipment submittals.
