Description
The City seeks one qualified, independent collection agency to recover eligible past-due accounts for municipal services, including electricity, water, wastewater, natural gas, and solid waste. Compensation is expected to be primarily a percentage of funds actually recovered, with minimal or no upfront fees. The contractor is also expected, where lawful and accepted by consumer reporting agencies, to furnish accurate delinquent-account information promptly to major credit bureaus. The City seeks compliant collection practices, protection of City data and customers, and clear monthly performance reporting. The anticipated term is one year, with up to two one-year renewals at the City's option.
