Description
IDEA Public Schools is soliciting proposals for E-Rate Category 2 network equipment and related services for network refresh projects at eight initial campuses, with potential deployment at additional eligible locations. The requested equipment includes wireless access points, PoE switches, power supplies, network modules, transceivers, UPS and power-distribution equipment, racks, cabling, and related components. The scope includes delivery, pre-installation surveys, turnkey installation and configuration, testing, performance validation, maintenance, shipping, documentation, and legacy-equipment inventory and removal. Proposed solutions must replace end-of-life network electronics with functionally equivalent or superior equipment that integrates with IDEA's existing infrastructure without requiring replacement of supporting infrastructure or creating unnecessary platform-management overhead. Vendors must comply with E-Rate and applicable FCC requirements and submit a valid Service Provider Identification Number, Federal Communications Commission Registration Number, and red-light-status statement. Proposals must include the required narrative responses, pricing worksheets, certifications, references, evidence of insurance, and other listed attachments. Equivalent solutions are permitted when supported by documentation demonstrating functional, technical, and operational equivalence. Subcontractors and implementation partners may be proposed, subject to IDEA's approval, while the prime respondent remains responsible for performance and compliance. Addendum 2 clarifies that the Cisco ThousandEyes embedded-agent line item must be separately priced when proposing the specified equipment, but ThousandEyes subscriptions, licenses, cloud services, and agent entitlements are excluded from the solicitation; equivalent-equipment proposals need not include an equivalent monitoring agent.
