Description
The Department of Veterans Affairs requires full elevator maintenance services for 39 elevators at its Jefferson Barracks and John Cochran medical centers in St. Louis. The scope includes all labor, parts, materials, repairs, inspections, safety testing, and five-year load testing necessary to keep the elevators, appurtenances, and accessories fully operational, except during scheduled downtime. The elevators include passenger, service, and dumbwaiter units with hydraulic and traction drives. Work must comply with applicable ANSI/ASME safety codes, manufacturer recommendations, the Elevator Industry Field Employees’ Safety Handbook, the National Electrical Code, and other applicable laws and regulations. The government intends to award a single firm-fixed-price IDIQ with five one-year ordering periods and individual bulk-funded orders.
