Description
The City of Monroe is soliciting construction proposals for installation of a new Ozone Generator 3 at its water treatment plant. The work includes demolition and removal of existing equipment and piping; installation of new ozone, oxygen, cooling-water, process-water, compressed-air, vacuum, and related piping; equipment supports; electrical power, conduit, grounding, instrumentation, controls, local control panels, master control integration, and SCADA modifications. The contractor must coordinate offloading, storage, installation, and startup with Veolia Water Technologies and the City's system integrator and lockout/tagout consultant. The project includes a lump-sum base bid plus allowances of $10,000 for SCADA and system integration, $1,500 for Ozone Generator 3 lockout/tagout, and $65,000 for general contingency. Prevailing-wage requirements apply. A responsible-bidder process applies to bids exceeding $175,000 and to qualifying subcontractors; the bid package requires the Division B proposal, bid pricing form, bid security, and responsible-bidder information. The work must be completed by May 28, 2027, subject to specified equipment-delivery extensions, with liquidated damages of $200 per calendar day for late completion.
