Description
The City of Anacortes is soliciting sealed bids for the 17th Street Drainage Improvement Project. The work includes removal of existing drainage components, clearing and grubbing, pavement removal, roadway excavation, installation of more than 900 linear feet of 24-inch PVC stormwater pipe and more than 100 linear feet of 21-inch PVC stormwater pipe, connections to the existing stormwater system, six 48-inch Type 2 catch basins, one Type 1L catch basin, utility-structure adjustments, trench backfilling, ditch filling, hot-mix asphalt trench patching, pavement and landscape restoration, traffic control, outfall protection, a duckbill check valve, erosion and sediment controls, and project cleanup. The engineer's estimate is $380,000 to $475,000. Bids must be submitted through the City's Bonfire eProcurement portal by September 30, 2026, at 3:00 p.m. Pacific time. A 5% bid deposit must also be delivered before the deadline to the City Clerk at 904 6th Street, Anacortes, Washington 98221, or by mail to P.O. Box 547, Anacortes, Washington 98221. The successful bidder must furnish full-amount performance and payment bonds and required insurance. Physical construction must be completed within 60 calendar days after the first working day following the Notice to Proceed.
