Description
The project comprises two work schedules to replace approximately 3,400 linear feet of 8-inch ductile iron water main along S Breyman Avenue, Highway 43, and S Military Road. Work includes valves, water services and connections, fire hydrant replacements, appurtenances, connections to existing mains, and abandonment of existing mains. It also includes modifications to an existing pressure-reducing valve station, traffic signal radar detection improvements, pavement restoration including PCC roadway base panels, and traffic control, including during night work. This is a public works construction project subject to prevailing wage requirements. Bids must be submitted on prescribed forms and include a bid bond of at least 5% of the bid amount. The successful bidder must provide performance and payment bonds, each equal to 100% of the bid amount. Hard-copy bids are required; electronic and fax submissions are not accepted. First-tier subcontractor disclosure is due by 4:00 p.m. on the bid date.
