Parks Canada Agency is seeking qualified contractors under the second stage of a two-stage competitive solicitation to replace the existing docks and marine fueling system at the Sidney Operations Centre, which supports marine operations for the Gulf Islands National Park Reserve. The work includes removing and disposing of existing docks and pilings; supplying and installing new aluminum-frame docks, pilings, water and electrical services, dock lighting, and a 5,000-litre fuel tank with fuel lines and dispenser. All in-water work must be completed during the lower-risk fisheries window from December 1, 2026, through February 15, 2027. Work above the high-water line may occur outside that window. The contractor must implement mitigation measures identified in Parks Canada Agency's Basic Impact Assessment. Only suppliers qualified during Stage One were invited to submit further qualifications and a financial bid based on the specifications and drawings. The estimated contract period is five months, with a proposed start date of November 2, 2026.
