Description
Collier County is soliciting construction bids for the repair and restoration of Freedom Park Boardwalks 1 and 2. The work includes replacing deteriorated boardwalk decking; damaged structural timber, fasteners, and hardware; damaged pilings and support beams; and installing new pilings as needed. The bid schedule also includes structural pile jackets, floating turbidity barriers, concrete spall repairs, concrete header extensions, asphalt and base replacement, timber wingwall and railing repairs, trash removal, and barge or construction pontoon rental. The contractor must perform the work in accordance with the plans, specifications, environmental requirements, applicable FDOT standards, and site-specific safety and environmental controls. The anticipated project budget is $1,300,000, including a $198,120 owner's allowance for directed work due to unforeseen conditions. One contract will be awarded for all work. Substantial completion is required within 134 calendar days after the commencement date, followed by final completion within 30 calendar days after delivery of the punch list.
